Terms of use

Effective October 11, 2026

Waypoint is a map game made by Eureka Holdings LLC, a New Jersey company ("we", "us"). These terms cover the Waypoint website and the Waypoint apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. By playing, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why.

Who can play

Anyone can play. Players under 13 can play without an account, and we don't collect their email, a leaderboard name or written feedback. If you're under 18, please read these terms with a parent or guardian, who agrees to them for you.

Your account

Leaderboard names and feedback

Your leaderboard name is public. Waypoint has zero tolerance for abusive names. Names and feedback must not:

Names with offensive words are blocked automatically. Any player can tap Report next to a name; it's hidden for them right away and for everyone once two people report it. We review reports and may rename, hide or remove names and accounts that break these rules, without notice.

You keep ownership of what you write. You let us show your leaderboard name in the game and use your feedback to improve Waypoint, with no payment owed for ideas you send us.

Fair play

Don't cheat. That means no bots, scripts, automated answers, tampering with scores, or using more than one account to climb the leaderboard, and no attempts to break into, overload or copy the game or its servers. We may reset scores or remove accounts that cheat.

Our game and content

The game, its design, questions, artwork and the Waypoint name and logo belong to Eureka Holdings LLC. You may play it and share your results and screenshots for personal, non-commercial use. Teachers are welcome to use Waypoint with their students in class.

Other uses need our written permission: putting Waypoint into a paid course or training program, using it for company training, republishing its questions or maps, or building it into another product or publication. We license Waypoint to schools, companies and publishers: write to hello@eureka-holdings.com.

Map shapes come from public-domain data (Natural Earth and the U.S. Census Bureau). Seaport codes come from the United Nations' UN/LOCODE list. Airport codes are the standard three-letter IATA codes, used for reference. Waypoint isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the United Nations, IATA, or any port, airport, airline or shipping line.

A game, not a reference tool

We work to keep answers correct, but borders, codes and names change, and mistakes happen. Don't rely on Waypoint for shipping documents, bookings, navigation or any other real-world decision; check an official source. If you spot an error, tell us through Send feedback.

Changes and availability

We may change, pause or end features, the daily game or the leaderboard at any time. Waypoint is free today; if we ever add anything paid, we'll explain the price before you buy.

No warranty and limits on liability

Waypoint is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, Eureka Holdings LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim about Waypoint is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Apple and Google

If you got Waypoint from the Apple App Store, these terms are between you and Eureka Holdings LLC, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app, its content, maintenance or support, or any claims about it, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. Apple has no obligation to provide support. If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund any price you paid; Apple has no other warranty obligation. You confirm you're not in a country under a U.S. government embargo and aren't on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app also follows the App Store's usage rules.

If you got Waypoint from Google Play, Google's terms for Google Play also apply, and Google isn't responsible for the app.

Ending these terms

You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. The sections on our content, liability and the law that applies stay in effect afterwards.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey and of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.

Changes to these terms and contact

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top, and for big changes we'll tell you in the game. Questions: email support@eureka-holdings.com or use Send feedback in the game.
